Lord Herbert of Cherbury

Besides his poems, which are widely available, Edward Herbert, 1st Baron of Cherbury wrote only two books that have appeard in English. They are

• The Expedition to the Isle of Rhe, a narrative of the English attempt to succor La Rochelle in 1627; and
• his Autobiography
